About this beach
Lagoinha is a small, sheltered cove ringed by hills covered in Atlantic Forest. The sea is calm, clear and shelves gently — the kind of beach where you spend the whole morning in the water without noticing the time.
Being well protected, it barely forms waves, which makes it excellent for snorkeling, paddleboarding and kayaking. Small fishing boats at anchor complete a scene that looks painted.
Facilities are simple and access is along narrow streets, which naturally limits how many people turn up — part of why it stays so well preserved. Anyone after silence and clear water without leaving town tends to end up here.
Still water in an enclosed cove — ideal conditions for paddling.
The rocky points of the cove gather fish and good visibility.
Atlantic Forest hills all around give the beach the feel of a hideaway.
